General Questions

Q: What is BiRide Rentals?
A: BiRide Rentals is a platform that connects users with high-quality bikes and e-bikes for rent. We offer both electric and standard models through trusted local providers.

Q: Where can I use BiRide Rentals?
A: BiRide currently operates in Cyprus, including popular areas like Paphos and more. Expansion to other regions is planned.

Q: How do I download the app?
A: The BiRide Rentals app is available on both the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Just search “BiRide” and install.

 

Booking and Payment

Q: How do I book a bike?
A: Open the BiRide app, select your location and dates, browse available bikes or e-bikes, and confirm your booking, all in a few taps.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We process secure payments via Revolut. You can choose to pay a 10% deposit or the full amount at the time of booking.

Q: Can I cancel my booking?
A: Yes. Cancellations are possible under the terms shown in our cancellation policy, which you’ll see during the booking process.

 

Bikes, Equipment

Q: What types of bikes are available?
A: We offer a variety of bikes including electric bikes (e-bikes), mountain bikes, trekking bikes, folding bikes, and gravel bikes, perfect for all types of riders.

Q: Are accessories included with the bike rental?
A: Yes. Every rental includes a helmet and a standard repair kit (with puncture tools, pump, small toolkit, and lock). E-bikes also come with a charger. Extra accessories may be available for an additional fee.

Q: How do I know if a bike is available?
A: Availability is shown in real time within the BiRide app. You’ll see statuses like “Available,” “Rented Out,” or “Request This Bike” so you can book with confidence.

 

During and After the Rental

Q: Where do I pick up the bike or e-bike?
A: Pickup points are shown on the map inside the app. Some rental partners also offer delivery for an extra fee, check the listing for details.

Q: What if I have a problem with the bike or e-bike?
A: You can contact the rental partner directly through the app or use the “I Have a Question” section to report any issues.

Q: Can I leave a review after renting?
A: Yes, and we appreciate it. Please share your feedback about the bike’s condition and the service you received, this helps other riders and keeps standards high.

Q: I own a bike rental business. Can I list my bikes on BiRide?
A: Absolutely. Just head to the “Join the BiRide Network” section in the app or on our website to get started as a rental partner.

BiRide Help & Support FAQ

Welcome to BiRide! Below you will find answers to the most common questions about using our electric bike rental service.

 
  1. How old do you need to be to ride an e-bike?
    Riders must be at least 18 years old to use BiRide e-bikes.
  2. Are you open year-round?
    Our rental season runs from April to November, depending on weather conditions.
  3. What are your hours of operation?
    BiRide e-bikes are available 24/7. For support, call or message the number listed on your bike.
  4. Why don’t any bikes appear on the map?
    Only active and available bikes will appear on the app map. Please try refreshing the app.
  5. Where can I park the e-bike?
    Bikes can be parked anywhere inside the geo-fenced area. Please do not block sidewalks, driveways, or entrances.
  6. The bike I found seems to be offline. Why?
    The bike may be experiencing low battery or a technical issue. Try locating another bike nearby.
  7. Can I rent more than one bike using the same phone?
    Yes. The Group Ride feature allows you to unlock an additional bike for a guest.
  8. Can my child ride with me on the same e-bike?
    No. Each e-bike is designed for a single rider who must be 18 or older.
  9. Do I need to wear a helmet?
    Yes. Helmets are strongly encouraged and may be required by local law. Contact us if you need one.
  10. I can’t end my ride. What should I do?
    Make sure you’re not pausing the ride. Try closing and reopening the app, ensure good network connection, and try again. Contact support if the issue continues.
  11. Why do I see a charge on my card before the ride?
    We place a temporary hold (e.g., €10) on your card at the start of a ride. This will be released after your trip ends and final charges are applied.
  12. What if my bike runs out of battery during my trip?
    Park it safely and out of the way. We’ll retrieve it using GPS. Make sure it’s not blocking pathways or traffic.
  13. I think I’ve been overcharged. What can I do?
    Please contact us with your ride details (time, date, and phone number used). We’ll be happy to assist.
